Deal’s straightforward painters and decorators.

We paint and decorate homes across Deal, Walmer and the villages inland - nothing but domestic interiors, and nothing hidden in the price. Every job is quoted against a published table before we pick up a brush.

Pricing, upfront

What a room actually costs.

These are the real numbers we quote against, not a placeholder while you wait for a call back. Standard trade paint and labour are included; the final figure is fixed once we've seen photos or visited.

What we do

Four services. Nothing else.

We stick to what we're genuinely good at, across Deal's mix of seafront terraces, Middle Street's older housing and the newer estates further from the coast.

Interior decorating

Crack filling and surface prep, emulsion on walls and ceilings, and woodwork finished in gloss, satinwood or eggshell - plus feature walls where a single colour won't do.

Interior decorating

Wallpapering

Old paper stripped and walls steamed clean, lining hung where the wall needs it, then pattern-matched hanging - including wide-format and digital print papers.

Period property restoration

Sash window frames, older plaster and original joinery around Deal town centre and Middle Street, prepared with breathable systems suited to the building.

End-of-tenancy refresh

A fast turnaround service for landlords and holiday-let owners between guests or tenants - scuffs covered, marks gone, ready to show or re-list.

Four promises, no small print.

Published prices, not a guess.

Our benchmark table is on this page, not hidden behind a callback. What we quote against it is what you pay; anything unexpected gets flagged and priced before we carry on.

One person, start to finish.

Whoever quotes your job is the person who paints it. No rotating subcontractors, no call centre in between.

Built for Deal's older buildings.

Seafront Georgian and Victorian properties, and the older housing around Middle Street, get prepared for what they are, not treated like a new-build.

Same-day quotes from photos.

Send a couple of photos of the room by WhatsApp or email and we'll come back with a firm price the same day, not next week.

Coverage

Deal and the villages around it.

CT14 stretches from the seafront and Deal Castle inland past Sholden and Great Mongeham towards Northbourne and Ringwould.

Deal town & seafront

Middle Street's conservation area and the Georgian and Victorian terraces along the front - plenty of period joinery and older plaster.

Walmer & Kingsdown

The coast south of Deal, a mix of period seafront housing and newer development further back from the beach.

Sholden, Great Mongeham & the villages

Sholden, Great Mongeham, Ringwould, Northbourne and St Margaret's at Cliffe - mostly detached and semi-detached family homes.

Why local knowledge matters

Deal's seafront properties don't all need the same treatment.

Walk from the seafront up through Middle Street and the building stock changes fast - Georgian and Victorian brick terraces facing the sea, older housing in the conservation area behind them, and modern estates further inland toward Sholden and Great Mongeham. Properties close to the front see more airborne salt and damp, which affects how paint and plaster perform indoors as well as out. Original sash windows in particular need the right primer, or they stick within a season.

We ask where the property sits before we ask what colour you want. It's also why our pricing guide gives a range per job rather than one flat number.

Seafront let or long-term tenancy?

End-of-tenancy refresh, built for fast turnarounds.

Deal has plenty of seafront holiday lets alongside standard tenancies - both need the same thing between bookings: quick, efficient decorating that doesn't eat into a void period or the next booking.

Common questions

Before you get in touch.

How much does it cost to paint a bedroom in Deal?

A small box bedroom (walls and ceiling, two coats) is typically £250 for a day's work. A medium bedroom with skirting and a door frame usually comes to around £350 over a day to a day and a half. The exact price depends on the room's condition and how much prep the walls need.

What's included in your quoted prices?

Standard trade paint and labour. Our published pricing table covers the usual range, from a small box bedroom at £250 to a full hall, stairs and landing at £800. We confirm the exact figure against the actual room before starting, and it's fixed once agreed.

Do you decorate seafront holiday lets between bookings?

Yes - our end-of-tenancy refresh service works just as well for a quick turnaround between holiday-let guests as it does for a standard tenancy, scoped to what the property needs rather than a fixed package.
